Whatever your reason for dieting might be, like everyone else, you want to see the output of your hard work FAST, right? Well, that’s the very reason why we spend hours thinking of the quickest way to lose weight. Although it is not advisable to undergo a sudden weight drop because of the perils it might cause your health, it can still be achieved without having to compromise your health. One well-known diet plan is the General Motors Diet (also called the GM diet). Since its formulation in the 80′s, this diet scheme continues to work wonders for people who religiously follow the regimen. Oops, this means trying hard not to have those cheat days! Don’t worry though as this only require seven days of loyalty to the program.

This is one of the most effective rapid weight loss diets that ever existed. It was originally intended for the use of GM employees so as to improve the employee’s attitudes and emotions as it also doubles up as a cleansing diet. This program is designed to shed off at least 5-6kgs in a week. Like what I’ve said, it’s a seven-day program wherein you have a specific food prescribed for consumption for each day. It is strongly recommended that while you are undergoing the GM diet, abstain from drinking any alcoholic drinks and consume at least 10 glasses of water each day.

DAY ONE – Eat all the fruits you want except bananas. Yes, you can eat to your heart’s content. This is to condition your body for the upcoming program. In case you’re wondering why it is suggested that you eat fruits, it’s because fruits are considered as nature’s perfect food. It is highly suggested that you eat melons or watermelons on this days as it can let you notice weight loss even on your first day!

DAY TWO – Today is veggies day! Have all the vegetables you can – it can be cooked or raw; it all depends on your preferences. This is to sustain your body with the nutrients and fibers it needs. While for your carbohydrate needs, you can start this day by munching on two large baked potatoes for breakfast.

DAY THREE – Mix it all up! Eat any fruits and vegetables of your choice except potatoes and bananas. Stuff yourself with all the fruits and vegetables you want.

DAY FOUR – It’s milk and banana day. Eat as much as eight bananas today and drink three glasses of milk. This is to help you replenish your potassium and the sodium that you may have missed during the last three days.

DAY FIVE – Thank heavens it’s feast day today! You can eat beef and tomatoes today. It means you can munch on that hamburger you’ve been dying to eat. Also, increase your water intake to 12 glasses today to cleanse your system of the uric acid you produce.

DAY SIX – Eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetable today. This day should be easy to endure because at this point, you have reduced cravings especially for sweets.

DAY SEVEN – Brown rice, fruit juices, and vegetables are your best friends for the day. Eat as much as you want.

The next morning, you will be 5-6kgs lighter. Now isn’t that the quickest way to lose weight?
